Vr3 Emu Farms & Hatchery Unit

We’re located on the first floor of the Hirak-Baugh Shopping Center, right across from the Jubilee Dharamshala. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a hatchery office, but it works well for us. People often stop by out of curiosity when they see the sign. Emu farming isn't something you see every day, so we end up explaining the birds a lot to the neighbors in the shopping center. The office is one large room with some partitions for the hatchery records. We have pictures of the birds on the walls and some charts for tracking the eggs. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of supplies delivered. The shopping center is always busy, so there’s a lot of coming and going. We keep a close eye on the incubator schedules and the farm reports that come in from the actual fields. It’s a lot of detail work, making sure the temperature and timing are just right. We’ve got a small fridge for our lunch and a desk that’s usually covered in notes. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Being right opposite the Dharamshala makes it easy to give directions. It’s just a small, dedicated group of us here at Vr3 Emu Farms, doing our best to keep the hatchery running smoothly.
