Vir Gogadev Ambulance

Our base for Vir Gogadev Ambulance is right here in Sarjepura. It’s not a big office or anything fancy. Mostly we are just sitting and waiting for the phone to ring. When you work with an ambulance you never really know when you will be busy. Sometimes the streets in Sarjepura are completely jammed with traffic and it makes things difficult. We spend a lot of time cleaning the van and making sure everything is inside. The seats are a bit worn out now. We know the shortcuts around this area pretty well by now. It’s a lot of waiting around and then suddenly being in a big hurry. We don't really have a set schedule. Some nights are very quiet and we just watch the street lamps. Other times we are out all night long. We don't use any fancy systems to track things. Just a notebook and a phone. The engine on the van has a specific sound we all know. It’s a tough job sometimes but we are used to it. We don't talk much while we work. It’s just about getting from one place to another. Being in Sarjepura means we see a lot of the same people every day. We just stay ready for whatever comes next. That is the life we have here. It’s simple and we just do the work. We've been here for quite some time now.
