Veemal Enterprises is tucked into No. 6 Akashganga Apartment. Being on Pipeline Road means there’s always some noise from the traffic or the neighbors moving about in Aikya Nagar. The building is one of those older ones where you know everyone’s name after a week. Inside, we’ve got our shelves lined with things we need for the day. It’s not a fancy corporate space with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old chairs that have seen better days and a calendar from two years ago still hanging on the wall because we liked the picture. Most of our mornings are spent checking through the lists and making sure we didn't forget anything from the day before. Sometimes the water pressure in the pipes is a bit low, so making tea takes longer than it should. We get a lot of dust coming in from the main road, so we’re always wiping down the ledges. It’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just trying to get the job done without too much fuss. When the rain starts, the sound on the roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other talk, but it’s a good place to work. We usually lock up around six and walk down the street to the bus stop. It’s a simple life and we like being part of the community here at Aikya Nagar.
