Swaraj Rural Development Foundation

You can find us at House Number 1698 in Kanhur Pathar. This is located in the Parner Taluka of the Ahmednagar district. It is a rural area, so the surroundings are mostly open land and other village houses. The house we use is made of stone and stays relatively cool even when the sun is very hot outside. We have set up our workspace in the front two rooms. There is a large wooden desk where we keep the register and a few chairs for visitors. The road outside is mostly dirt, so it can get quite dusty in the summer months. We have a small yard with a neem tree that provides some shade for the entrance. Often, you will see local farmers passing by with their cattle. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take care of everything for the Swaraj Rural Development Foundation. Our days are spent talking to the local people and writing down reports. We have a small gas stove in the back room to boil water for tea. Most of the people in the village know where the house is, so we don't need a massive sign. It is a humble place to work from, but it serves us well. We just focus on the daily chores and the people who come to us for help with their paperwork.
