Kalpak Industries

Kalpak Industries sits out at C 13 in the Supa MIDC Area, right off the main Pune Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the city, so it feels a bit more open out here compared to the crowded parts of town. We’ve got a decent amount of space for our machines and the materials we use. The wind blows across the open land around the MIDC, which helps cool things down a bit in the summer. We mostly focus on manufacturing parts that go into bigger machines. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the lathes or the presses to make sure nothing goes wrong. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small group of us who know the equipment inside and out. Sometimes the supply of raw materials gets delayed, and we have to shuffle our schedule around, which is always a headache. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of those corporate things. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor in our work clothes. The tea break is the best part of the day, where we sit outside and watch the trucks go by on Pune Road. We just try to do a decent job so the parts we make don’t fail. It’s a quiet life out here in Supa, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as fast as the machines allow.
