If you head toward Delhi Gate, you will find us at Chaupati Karanta. This is a busy spot where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but inside our clinic, we try to keep things a bit more relaxed. We handle eye exams and help people find the right spectacles. The area has a lot of energy, and being near such a famous landmark means people can always find us without needing a map. The shop itself has been here for years. The floor is made of old stone that stays cool even when the sun is beating down on the road outside. We have various frames on display, from the basic ones to a few fancier styles, but most folks just want something sturdy that doesn't break. I spend most of my day sitting at the testing chair. It’s a good way to meet people from all walks of life. We hear all sorts of stories about what’s happening in the city. Sometimes the power cuts out for an hour, but we have an inverter to keep the testing machines running. We aren't part of any big chain. It’s just a local place where we know our neighbors. We drink tea from the same guy every morning for the last ten years. It’s a routine that we enjoy and wouldn't change for anything. The building is old but strong, much like the people who live around here and visit us.
