Sikchi Hospital

If you find yourself in Sangamner and head down Rangar Gali, you’ll eventually run into Sikchi Hospital. The street is a bit narrow, and finding parking can be a real headache sometimes, but we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The building itself is tucked away near the alley, and it has that old-school feel to it. We don’t have a bunch of fancy signs or glowing lights. It’s just a place where people go when they aren't feeling well. The staff here mostly speaks the local language and we know half the patients by their first names. Sangamner is a small place in many ways, and news travels fast, so we just focus on our daily tasks. The rooms are simple. We don’t have those adjustable electric beds you see on TV; ours are the sturdy metal ones that last forever. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming through the windows in the afternoon. We spend our days checking charts, talking to families, and making sure the supplies are stocked. It’s not a high-tech operation, but it’s ours. The doctors are usually around the corner grabbing a tea when they have a spare five minutes. We like it that way. It feels like home to us, even if it’s just a workplace for the day.
