Shri Ram Medical

We have been running this shop in the Krushikesh Building for a good while now. It’s right on the Nagar-Manmad Road in Rahuri, so it gets pretty busy with all the trucks and buses passing by. Being near Melavane Hospital means we see a lot of folks who are coming from the doctor and need to get their prescriptions filled quickly. I usually open up the shutters early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Rahuri can be really scorching in the summer months, so we try to keep the shop cool inside for the medicines. It’s just me and a helper most days. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. We just keep the shelves stocked with what people actually need. Sometimes we run out of a specific brand, but I can usually get it from the distributor by the next day if the patient can wait. I’ve lived here all my life, so I know most of the families around. We talk about the rain or the crops while I’m packing their tablets. It’s a simple life behind the counter. The building is easy enough to find, and we try to keep a bit of water for anyone who looks tired from the heat. We aren't looking to be the biggest shop, just a reliable one where you get what you need without any fuss. It is a small place but it is ours and we are here every day.
