Shree Balaji Library

Our place, Shree Balaji Library, is at House Number 456 in Devi Galli, right near Dr Patakr Hospital in Sangamner. It’s a quiet enough street, which is good for a library. We started this because there wasn't really a place nearby where people could just sit and read or borrow a book. The building is an old house, so it feels a bit more comfortable than a regular shop. We have different sections for different subjects, though sometimes things get mixed up when people put books back in the wrong spot. We don't have any digital scanners or fancy ID cards; we still do things mostly with registers and pens. It’s a bit slower that way, but it works for us. We’ve got some old wooden tables where you can sit for a while if it's not too crowded. The light comes in through the front windows in the morning, which is the best time to be here. We aren't trying to be the biggest library around, just a useful one for the folks in Sangamner. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or people visiting the hospital nearby. We keep the doors open most days and just see who shows up. It’s a simple setup, run by a few of us who like books. We don't have many rules, just try to keep it quiet.
