Our office is in the Tanpure Complex, right in the Indira Peth area. The house number is 428/2/12 if you are looking for the exact spot. Rahuri is a busy place, and the complex is right in the middle of all the action. We’ve got shops selling all sorts of things all around us. It gets quite noisy during the day with people shopping and shouting. Inside our office, it’s a bit calmer than the street. We have a few desks and some simple plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their paperwork. We handle small savings and loans for the local people here. It’s a lot of manual work, writing things down in big books and then entering them into the computer. We have a small staff of just three people. We’ve all known each other for many years. We usually share our tiffin boxes at lunch. There’s no big corporate vibe in this office. We just want to get the work done and help the folks who come in to see us. Sometimes the printer jams up and we all have to stop and figure out how to fix it. It’s those little things that make our day interesting. We don’t have a fancy lobby or free coffee for visitors. Just a cold water dispenser and some old newspapers to read while you wait. It’s a practical place for practical people. We like being here in Rahuri.
