Khamang Products

Khamang Products is tucked away at No. 7 in Kirloskar Colony. We are right on Gulmohar Road in the Savedi part of town. It’s a relatively quiet neighborhood compared to the main market, which is nice for the kind of work we do. The name Khamang usually makes people think of good food, and that’s basically what we are about here. We spend a lot of time in the back where the actual production happens. The smell of whatever we are making often drifts out onto the road, which sometimes brings people in just to see what’s going on. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of salespeople. Most of our growth has just been people in Savedi telling their neighbors about us. The house or building we work from is an older style, which gives it a bit of character. We have a few tables set up for packing and a small area where we keep the finished goods. It’s a very hands-on process, and our hands are usually busy from dawn until dusk. Sometimes we sit out on the steps for a minute during a break to watch the cars go by on Gulmohar Road. It’s a local business in every sense of the word. We know the people around Kirloskar Colony and they know us. We just keep making our products and hope they like them. It is a simple setup for simple work.
