Sanjeevani Clinic

Sanjeevani Clinic is right there at Shop No 2 in Adarsh Chambers. If you know Sub Jail Chowk in Ahmednagar, you know it can get really loud with all the rickshaws and people moving about. Our shop is quite small, but we've squeezed in enough room for a desk and a couple of exam tables. The building itself, Adarsh Chambers, has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and everyone in the area knows it. We have a small sink in the corner that drips sometimes if you don't turn the handle all the way. It’s mostly local shopkeepers and residents who drop by when they’re feeling under the weather. We don't do anything flashy. It's just about checking temperatures and handing out prescriptions for whatever is going around. I remember when we first moved into this shop; the floor was bare concrete. Now we’ve got some tiles down, which makes it look a bit cleaner. Ahmednagar Ho is a busy place, and we’re right in the thick of it. Sometimes people just pop their heads in to ask for directions because of the jail being nearby. We don’t mind. It's just a part of being in a community like this. The evening light hits the front door at a weird angle, so we usually pull the curtain halfway. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here, nothing more and nothing less. We close up around eight and head home to do it all over again tomorrow.
