Samarth Clinic

We started Samarth Clinic out here in Manik Daundi, which is part of the Pathardi area. It’s a more rural setting than the big cities, but we like it that way. The clinic is located at the post office area, so it’s easy for folks from the village to find us. It’s just a small building with two rooms. We have a few chairs for the patients and a place where we keep the medicines and basic supplies. Life moves a bit slower here compared to the city. We see a lot of people who work in the fields and have various aches or seasonal illnesses. I’ve been working here for years and I know almost every family in Manik Daundi. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech equipment, but we have what’s necessary for general care. The walls are plain white, and we have a big window that lets in a lot of light during the day. Sometimes a stray dog will sit by the door to stay out of the sun, and we don't mind it. It’s a very community-oriented place. If someone can't make it in because they are too ill, sometimes I’ll head out to their home to see them if I have the time. We aren't trying to be a big medical center or anything like that. We’re just a village clinic doing our part for the people in Pathardi. It’s quiet and honest work.
