Sai Traders

Being right near the Nagar Manmad Highway means there is never a quiet moment at Sai Traders. The sound of trucks shifting gears is basically the soundtrack to my life here in Navnagapur. We are located at the MIDC Chowk, which is a busy intersection for anyone traveling through this part of the state. The shop is a bit dusty because of all the traffic, so I spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s a solid building, though. We’ve got enough space for all the trading goods, even if things get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. I usually have a radio playing in the background to drown out the highway noise. Most of our visitors are people who have been dealing with us for years. They know the landmark and they know we’ll be here from morning until late evening. It’s a tough spot in the summer because the heat bounces off the asphalt, but we have plenty of cold water in the clay pot. We don’t have a marketing team or a big strategy. We just open up, trade what needs to be traded, and keep the records straight. It’s honest work in a busy place. Sometimes the traffic jams at the chowk are so bad I just sit outside and watch the chaos for a bit. It’s just how things are around here.
