Rushas Engg. Company is located at B-6 in the MIDC area. If you have ever been to an industrial estate like this one, you know exactly what it looks like. It is a lot of grey buildings, wide roads with trucks parked everywhere, and the constant hum of electricity and big machinery. Our unit is just one of many in the grid. We have been here since the early days when there were fewer companies around the area. Now, it is crowded and busy. Inside B-6, the floor is mostly taken up by lathes and other heavy equipment. There is always someone welding or cutting something, so there are plenty of sparks and a lot of noise throughout the afternoon. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You walk through the main gate and you are pretty much standing in the middle of the work area. The office is just a partitioned section with some old desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We do a lot of parts for other factories in the area. It is steady work, though the power cuts in the summer can really slow us down sometimes. The guys take their lunch breaks under the trees outside when it gets too hot inside the metal shed. It is a plain, hardworking environment. We are not trying to impress anyone with the way the place looks.
