You can find us at House Number 2066 in Pargoan. Our sign says Omchaitanya Agro Processors Privatelimited, though sometimes people get us mixed up with the multi-state agro group nearby. We are basically a group of people working out of a house that’s been turned into a work space. The machines for the processing take up a lot of the ground floor. It can get quite loud when everything is running at once. Pargoan is a quiet enough place otherwise. We spend a lot of our time looking at the raw materials that come in from the local fields. It is a very hands-on kind of job. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us, the equipment, and the products we process. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around, which gives us a chance to have some tea. The floors are often covered in bits of grain or husk, so someone is always sweeping. It is a very practical, messy environment. We have been here at house 2066 for a bit now. It is where we do all the heavy lifting and the sorting. We don’t try to act like we are some big city firm. We are just local processors doing our bit in the village. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on for our families. That is what matters to us.
