Newasa Urban Nidhi Limited is situated in the village of Kallam, right in the Kallam Taluka. We are a small local outfit that serves the people living and working right here in this area. You won't find any shiny signs or marble floors in our office. It is just a plain room where we keep our books and help our members with their savings. Life in Kallam is quiet for the most part, and our business reflects that. We see people from the nearby fields and the small market come in to deposit a few rupees when they have them. It is important to have a place like this locally so people do not have to travel all the way to the bigger towns just to put some money away. We know almost everyone who walks through the door, and they know us. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if a member is coming from a long way off. The records are all done by hand mostly, and we make sure everything is transparent. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We are just here to provide a way for the local community to manage their finances in a way that makes sense for their lives.
