Sumeru Packagings Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, Sumeru Packagings, is out at Plot No. G-54 in the Midc area of Ahmednagar. It’s a busy spot with lots of factories around us. We deal with all kinds of packaging materials. If you walk into our warehouse, you’ll see stacks of cardboard and rolls of plastic everywhere. It smells a bit like glue and paper. We have a couple of big machines that run most of the day. They can be a bit moody, especially when it’s humid, so we have to keep an eye on them. The staff here is mostly local folks from the nearby villages. We usually have lunch together in the shade behind the main shed. Ahmednagar can get really hot, so we try to keep the fans going as much as we can. It’s not a glamorous job, just moving boxes and making sure the printing looks okay. We have a small truck that does the local deliveries. Sometimes the driver gets stuck in traffic near the city center, but usually, it’s a quick trip. We keep a ledger for everything because the computer is a bit slow. It’s an honest living. We’ve been at this plot for a few years now and know all the neighbors. We help each other out if someone runs out of tape or needs a forklift for an hour. It’s a good community.
