Our shop, Jyoti Medical And Genral Store, is right on the Nagar Aurangabad Road in Nevasa. We are very close to the Sonali Hotel, so a lot of people stop by when they are traveling through. It is a simple place where we sell medicines and various general items that folks around here need. Being on a main road means it gets quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time every morning wiping down the glass counters and the shelves. It’s just how it is. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local spot that’s been here for a good while. Most of our regulars are families from the neighborhood who come in for their monthly prescriptions. We also get travelers who might have a headache or need a quick bottle of water. The shop is filled with rows of boxes and bottles, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for, but we usually know where everything is kept. The weather around here gets very hot in the summer, and our small fan doesn't do much, but we get through the day. We don't have any fancy marketing plans or big signs. We just open up early, stay until the evening, and help whoever walks through the door. It is a decent way to earn a living and we know most of the people who live in this part of Nevasa. That is basically us.
