India Chem Industries

You’ll find India Chem Industries over in the Ratnkamal Building, which is located in Burud Galli. We are right opposite the Maruti Mandir, so we hear the temple bells ringing pretty often throughout the day. It’s a busy little area, and the lane can get quite crowded with people going to the mandir or visiting the other shops in the galli. Our office and work area are inside the building, and it’s a bit of a tight fit with all the equipment and supplies we need to keep on hand. We deal with chemicals, so we have to be pretty careful about how we store things, and that takes up a lot of our time. It’s not a glamorous job, and the building itself is just a regular old structure without any fancy features. We don’t have a mission statement or any of those corporate slogans. We just focus on the mixing and the packing that needs to happen before the end of the day. Sometimes the smell of the shop is a bit strong, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. We’ve been across from the Maruti Mandir for quite a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit, but our routine stays mostly the same. We open up in the morning, do our work in Burud Galli, and then head home once the sun goes down. It’s a steady way to make a living.
