Home Provision

Home Provision is out here in Shevgaon village, right on the Ahmednagar Miri Road. We are pretty close to the IDB Bank, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. Living and working in a village means you know everyone and everyone knows you. We sell basic things that households need every day, like pulses, sugar, and cleaning stuff. The shop isn't very big, but we try to keep the staples in stock. Since we are on the main Miri Road, we get people stopping by on their way to or from Ahmednagar. It's a dusty road and it gets quite hot in the afternoons, but the shop stays relatively cool inside. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's mostly just sacks of grain and rows of bottles on wooden shelves. My father started this a long time ago and I just keep it running now. We don't do deliveries, people just come by with their bags. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back, but we're used to it. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of the trucks passing by on the road. We stay open until late so workers coming back from the fields can pick up food for dinner. It's a basic place for basic needs. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name of the shop on the wall.
