About Hareshwer Dal Mill – Food & Beverages in Ahmednagar
We are located near the main road in Pathardi. The mill is a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in and everyone is looking to get their pulses processed. It’s mostly just the sound of the machines running and the smell of raw dal in the air all day long. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. There is always a lot of heavy lifting involved with moving the big sacks around. We aren't a big corporate setup, just a local mill doing the daily work. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend a few hours fixing a belt or cleaning out a jam. That’s part of the job. People from around the area bring their produce here, and we handle the cleaning and splitting. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the grain, no matter how much we sweep. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don’t have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. Usually, people just drop off their loads and come back later. The main road is always noisy with tractors and trucks going by, which adds to the atmosphere of the place. We’ve been at this for some time now and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the hopper is full and the bags are stitched up right. The work is dusty and loud, but it is what we know. We close up when the last bag is finished.
