Firodiya Children Clinic

We’ve been here at Bangal Chowki for quite some time now. Most people know us because we are right near the Hotel Circle on the first floor. It’s a busy spot in Ahmednagar and getting up those stairs with a crying kid or a stroller can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but parents manage. The clinic isn't very fancy or anything like that. We just see children all day long for different things like fevers, stomach aches, or just the usual shots they need. Most of the families come from around the neighborhood. It gets pretty loud in the waiting area when there are three or four toddlers running around at once. We have some toys in the corner to keep them busy, though they usually end up all over the floor by noon. Dr. Firodiya stays busy mostly because there are always kids getting into something or catching a cold at school. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers a bit and the reception desk is piled high with folders because we still use a lot of paper here. It’s just how we do things. We know most of the kids by name after they've been coming here for a few years. It’s a small place, just enough room for the checkups and a bit of sitting space. Nothing more to it really. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last kid is seen. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the mess, it's part of working with children.
