Crompton Greaves Limited

Out here in the M.I.D.C. Industrial Area, it’s mostly about the sound of machines and the trucks coming in. Our spot is at A / 6 - 2. It is a big space, but it never feels big enough when the new shipments arrive. Crompton Greaves Limited has been a fixture in this block for quite some time. The walls are that industrial grey, and the floors have marks from years of moving heavy stuff around. It isn't a place for suits or polished shoes. We wear boots and old shirts because things get dusty. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us head when the afternoon heat gets too much. Inside, it’s a mix of heavy desks and the constant hum of the plant. We don't have much in the way of decor, maybe a few old calendars on the wall. It’s a working building. People come in early, the gates rattle open, and the day starts. There is a specific smell to this part of town, a mix of grease and hot metal. We’re used to it. The office side is just a few rooms partitioned off where the paperwork gets handled. We spend our hours tracking orders and making sure the floor is running right. It’s honest work in a loud, busy environment. We don’t try to make it look like something it isn't.
