Bibisara Umar Sayyed Mahila Seva Shakti Foundation

We are located in Sangamner, right over in Rahemat Nagar. If you look for Quba Masjid, we are just near there at house number 2127. Most people around here know the area well. It’s a busy spot but we like it. Our group is the Bibisara Umar Sayyed Mahila Seva Shakti Foundation. We started this because we saw a lot of women in our neighborhood who needed some support or just a place to connect. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We spend our days talking to the local ladies and figuring out what they need. Sometimes it’s help with their kids' schooling and other times it’s just giving them a bit of confidence to start something of their own. Being in Ahmednagar district, things can be a bit slow sometimes, but we keep at it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who grew up around here and want to see our community do better. We don't use a lot of big words or have complicated plans. We just take it day by day. If someone walks in with a problem, we sit down with some tea and try to figure it out together. It’s hard work and the electricity goes out sometimes, but we’re used to it. We just want to be a helpful part of Sangamner for as long as we can stay open.
