Atul Offset Printers

Our printing press, Atul Offset Printers, is on Goregaon Road in Talu Niwasa. We are very close to the Shani Dev Mandir, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. If you hear the sound of heavy machines clanking, you are probably in the right place. The smell of ink and paper is everywhere inside. It is a bit of a loud environment because the offset machines are quite old and make a lot of noise when they are running a big job. We spend our days loading paper, checking the ink levels, and making sure the cuts are straight. The floor usually has some paper trimmings scattered around by noon. It’s not a shiny, clean office; it’s a workshop. We have a small table where we sit down to talk to people about what they want to print, whether it's wedding cards or local notices. Most of the time, our clothes have a few ink stains on them. When the machines are off, it gets surprisingly quiet, and we can hear the bells from the temple nearby. We don't use big words or try to act like we are a giant company. We are just local people who know how to run these machines and keep them from breaking down. It is hard work and it gets hot near the engines, but it is what we do.
