Amol Udyog

Operating out of Market Yard near the Pnr Theater has its ups and downs. It’s noisy and there’s always a lot of traffic around the Midc area, especially in the afternoons. At Amol Udyog, we don’t really do much in the way of fancy stuff. We have our workshop at 64-A and that’s where everything happens. Most days start around 8 am when the first lot of materials arrives. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving things around or fixing whatever needs attention that day. It’s a practical space. We’ve got some old machinery that still works better than the new ones, though they need a bit of grease every now and then. Sometimes customers stop by just to ask questions or see how their orders are coming along. We don’t have a big reception area, so they usually just walk straight into the work zone. It gets a bit dusty inside, but that’s expected in this line of work. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, so most of the other business owners around the yard are like friends. If someone needs a tool or a bit of help moving a heavy load, we’re right there. It’s not a corporate environment. We just work hard and try to stay on top of the orders. The theater nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us when they get lost.
