Our office is over at Ghanshyam Avenue on Ashram Road, right across the street from C U Shah College. Logistics sounds like a very big word, but really it’s just about moving boxes and keeping track of where things are. It’s a lot of checking tracking numbers and making sure the trucks show up when they are supposed to. Ashram Road is always full of traffic and noise, which actually makes sense for a shipping business. We see the students across the street every day when they are coming and going from classes. Xpress Shipping & Logistics isn't a massive global firm. We are just a local team working out of B-35. We spend a lot of time sitting at the computer and talking on the phone. Sometimes shipments get delayed for reasons we can't control, and we have to spend the whole day figuring it out. It can be stressful but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't wear suits here; it’s more of a shirtsleeves kind of place. We handle the paperwork that most people find really boring. Customs forms, transport routes, and delivery schedules are what fill our days from morning to night. We just try to keep the wheels moving for our customers. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and people know they can just drop in and ask about their parcels. It’s a straightforward operation.
