Wood Peckers

Wood Peckers is located in A-208 of the Himalaya Arcade. We are right across from Vastrapur Lake, which is a nice view to have when we step outside for a break. Vastrapur is always a busy area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out by the water. Our shop is where we do all our planning and meeting with people. Since we work with wood, there is usually a bit of sawdust on our clothes or tucked into the corners of the office. We are not a giant factory; we are just a local team that likes making things out of wood. We spend a lot of time looking at different grains and finishes. Sometimes a piece of wood has a knot in it that we have to work around, which can be frustrating but that is just part of the job. We don't have a fancy receptionist or a big lobby. You just walk in and you'll probably find one of us with a pencil behind our ear. We have been in the Himalaya Arcade for a while and know the other shop owners around here. It is a good community. We don't try to act like we are bigger than we are. We just take one job at a time and try to do it right. If we make a mistake, we just start over until it looks decent. The walk from the parking area to the arcade is short, but we often carry heavy samples back and forth.
