Westerntimes has its office at 1, Keshavkunj Apartment, right near Jethabhai Park in Paldi. Ahmedabad is a fast-paced city, but our little corner on Narayannagar Road feels a bit more settled than the main roads. We spend our time putting together the news and making sure the information is correct before it goes out to anyone. It is a lot of sitting at desks and staring at screens, to be honest. There is always the smell of ink or the sound of someone typing fast to meet a deadline. We have been in this building for quite a while now. The walls have seen a lot of stories come and go over the years. It is not a huge media house with hundreds of people; we are a smaller team that knows each other well. You might see us grabbing a quick snack from the street vendors nearby when we have a breather. The office is usually cluttered with old newspapers and notebooks from past assignments. It is just how we work. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you walk in, you are basically standing in the middle of the work area. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done. It is a bit chaotic when something big happens in the city, but usually, it is just a steady grind of writing and editing. We do not think too much about being fancy.
