Our office is located on the 3rd floor of the Dave Complex in the Rakkhiyal area of Ahmedabad. It is a busy part of town with a lot of small businesses and workshops around. To get to us, you have to go up a few flights of stairs because the lift is sometimes out of order. Once you get inside, it’s a pretty standard workspace. We have a few cabins and a main area where the clerks sit. It’s not the most modern office, but it works for what we need. We handle various parts of the Gujarat operations from this location. There is always the sound of the city coming through the windows—horns honking and people shouting. We are used to the noise by now. Our day usually starts with a quick meeting to see what the priorities are. There is no big company philosophy here; we just want to get the orders processed and the queries answered. Sometimes we have to stay a bit late when the year-end comes around, but otherwise, we have a regular routine. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day to keep our energy up. The desks are a bit cluttered with papers and stationery, but we know where everything is. It’s an honest place where people work hard without complaining too much about the heat or the stairs. We just do our best to keep things moving.
