Vishwakarma Furniture (Odhav)

Vishwakarma Furniture is located over in Odhav, right in the Parishram Shramjivi Vasahat. We are directly opposite Rameshwar Park, which is usually the easiest way for people to find the turn-off from National Highway No 8. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant background noise of heavy vehicles moving goods across the state. In our workshop, the air is usually thick with the smell of cut wood and polish. It’s a real working space, not one of those shiny showrooms you see in the mall. We’ve got wood planks leaned up against the walls and sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. Our days are spent mostly with tools in hand, measuring twice and cutting once. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. The sun hits the front of the shop quite hard in the afternoon, making the metal roof creak a bit. We often see people visiting Rameshwar Park across the way while we are out front taking a quick breather. The Parishram Shramjivi Vasahat is a place where people really put in the hours, and we fit right in with that. Sometimes a customer will come in with a rough sketch on a piece of scrap paper and we’ll sit down and figure it out. It’s a simple setup with a lot of hard work happening inside these walls every day of the week, just getting orders done.
