Vishal Jewellers

If you find yourself in Ambawadi, near the Shanti Tower, you might see our sign. We are tucked away in the Dev Darshan Apartment building. It is a small place on Manek Baug Road, right near the Nehru Nagar Cross Road. It is not a huge showroom like the ones you see in the mall. We have some glass counters and some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait. Mostly, we deal with gold and silver pieces. People bring in things that need fixing, like a broken chain or a ring that doesn't fit anymore. We spend a lot of time looking through those magnifying glasses. It is quiet work usually. Sometimes the neighborhood kids run past the shop and make a lot of noise. The light in here is a bit bright because we need to see what we are doing with the small stones. Vishal Jewellers has been here for a while. We know most of the neighbors by their first names. It is a nice area, even if the parking on the main road can be a total mess during the rush hour. We open up in the morning, clean the glass, and wait for whoever comes through the door. It might be someone looking for a gift or just someone needing a watch battery changed. We don't have a big fancy staff, just us behind the counter doing the work we have always done.
