Vinay Motors

We are located out in Naroda GIDC, over in Phase IV. We have got plots 222, 223, and 224, and our main shed is number 18 in the Harekrishna Chambers on Gayatri Mandir Road. It is an industrial area, so there is always a lot of dust and noise around. We mostly work on motors and heavy vehicle parts. The guys in the shop are usually pretty busy and have grease on their uniforms by ten in the morning. We don't have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning or anything like that. It is just a working garage where things get fixed. We keep a couple of old desks in the corner to handle the paperwork and billing. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just work by the light from the big doors. We have been in this same spot for quite a few years now. Most of the people who come to us are from the other factories nearby. They know we do a decent job and don't charge for things that aren't broken. We don't spend money on ads or big signs. Word of mouth is how we get most of our work. The road outside gets really muddy when the monsoon hits, which makes moving the trucks around a bit difficult. We just keep working through it. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way. Most days we are just trying to keep the backlog down and the tools organized.
