Vijay Lakshmi Watch is over in the Naranpura area. We’re specifically in Chamunda Nagar. Most people know we are near the Naranpura Bus Stop, which makes it pretty easy to explain where we are to anyone coming by. Another good landmark is the Ambica Party Plot, which is also quite close. It’s a lively neighborhood with plenty of people walking around and shops nearby. Our place is simple and fits right into the street. It’s not a huge store with bright neon lights; it’s more of a traditional local spot. We spend our days surrounded by timepieces and the tools we need for our work. The space inside is cozy, maybe even a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock in, but we know where everything is. Naranpura has a nice community feel to it. You see the same faces every day at the bus stop or walking to the nearby plots. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just open up in the morning and stay busy until it’s time to close. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much during the evening, but Chamunda Nagar itself stays pretty manageable. It’s a good location for a watch business because people are always passing through. We enjoy being a small part of this busy corner of the city. It’s just home for us and it keeps us occupied throughout the year.
