Viewfinder

We’ve been based at Viewfinder in Naranpura for quite some time now. This is basically just our way of looking at things through a lens. We spend a lot of our days out on the streets or in people's houses taking pictures and trying to capture what’s going on. The office in Naranpura is where we do all the editing, which can take hours and hours of sitting in front of a computer screen. It’s a quiet space, which is good because we need to focus when we’re going through hundreds of shots. Sometimes the lighting wasn't great or someone blinked, and we have to figure out how to make it work. We don’t use a lot of fancy words for what we do, we just take photos. People in the neighborhood know us and often stop by to ask about their family portraits or some event they have coming up. We like being part of the community here. It’s a simple setup we have, with cameras and lenses scattered around and maybe some old prints pinned to the wall. We don’t really have a big sales pitch or a marketing department. We just show people our work and if they like it, they hire us. It’s a decent way to make a living and we enjoy the variety of people we meet. We’ve been doing this for years and it still feels new every time.
