Veer Teja Textiles is over at B/5 in the Everest Society. We are right near the Silver Bells School. Being near a school means it gets very loud and busy in the mornings and afternoons when the kids are coming and going. Our place is full of rolls of fabric and different types of cloth. We spend most of our time unrolling these fabrics to show people or cutting pieces for orders. It’s a bit of a small space for all the textiles we have, so we have to keep things organized. Everest Society is a nice enough place to work. We have a small desk where we keep our notebooks and pens to track what we sell. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working through the day. The fabrics can get quite heavy, so there is a lot of moving things around to get to the bottom of the pile. We don't have any bright lights or big displays. It’s just the cloth sitting on shelves or on the floor. Sometimes we stand near the door just to get a bit of fresh air. It’s a simple textile business. We don't try to make it look like something it isn't. People around the Silver Bells School area know where we are. We just keep doing what we do every day. It's not a complicated job but it keeps us on our feet.
