Living and working in Ahmedabad means dealing with a lot of noise and movement, and our spot at Shraddha Apartments is no different. We are right near the Jivraj Park Overbridge in the Satellite area. It’s a busy part of town, which makes it easy for people to find Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. if they know the bridge. Being in an apartment complex might seem a bit odd for an aluminium company, but it works for our administrative side. We’ve got E/5 set up for our daily tasks. It’s much more comfortable than being right on the plant floor, though we still deal with the same industrial challenges. The traffic outside can be a nightmare during rush hour, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the spreadsheets and the phone calls. We aren't a big flashy office with a receptionist. Usually, one of us just opens the door when someone knocks. We handle the Gujarat side of things, making sure the connections between the factory and the clients stay solid. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders. The overbridge is a good landmark, and the neighborhood has everything we need. We don’t try to act like a huge corporation here. We’re just a small group of staff members making sure the business side of the metal industry keeps ticking along in the city.
