Our bank is situated at Plot No. 20/1 in Phase-1 of the Gidc area. It is a place where we spend our days looking over accounts and talking to the local people who work in the factories nearby. The office isn't anything to brag about, just a functional space with some desks and computers. We deal with a lot of cash and paperwork, which is pretty much the life of a bank in an industrial zone. Most mornings, you will see a line forming before we even open the doors. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. People come in because they need to deposit their earnings or maybe ask about a small loan for their business. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It feels more like a part of the neighborhood than a big institution. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of forms, and we just have to fix it and keep going. That is just how it is here. We focus on the everyday needs of the folks in Phase-1. It is simple, steady work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It is mostly just about keeping the ledger straight and making sure people can get their cash when they need it. We don't have fancy carpets or art on the walls, just the stuff we need to do the job.
