Standard Synthetics

Plot No. 2015 in Phase-4 is where we spend all our time. GIDC can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, especially out here in the newer phases. We do synthetic materials and the shop floor is usually covered in bits of fiber and thread. It’s a bit of a messy job, but we don't mind. The building itself is just a standard industrial shed with high ceilings and some skylights that let in a bit of sun. We have a couple of older machines that still run better than the new ones we bought last year. You can hear them clanking from the street. We don’t really do any big marketing or have a website person. We just answer the phone when it rings and write things down in a big ledger we keep on the main desk. It's mostly quiet work until the afternoon rush starts. The workers here like to listen to the radio while they handle the rolls of material. It’s a basic setup with some metal racks for storage and a small area for loading. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy in the back when the sun hits the roof. There isn't much to see except for the rows of synthetic goods being processed. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized despite the chaos of a busy workday.
