Our setup is across Plot No. 44-45 in Phase-1 of the Gidc. It’s a decent-sized space because we need the room for all the stuff we handle at Rachana Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. Having two plots next to each other helps with the flow of things. The Phase-1 area is one of the older parts of the estate, so the roads are well-known and there are plenty of small shops nearby for lunch or a quick tea. We spend a lot of time on the floor, checking things and making sure the machines are behaving. It can get quite noisy when everything is running at once, but that’s the sound of work being done. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the name painted near the gate so people don't miss us. The lighting inside is bright because you need to see what you're doing with the fabrics. Sometimes the dust from the threads gets everywhere, but we try to sweep up every evening. It’s a lot of standing and moving around. We don’t really have a lot of meetings; we just talk while we work. If something needs fixing, we usually just handle it ourselves or call the guy down the road. It's a very straightforward way of running things. We like being in this part of Gidc because everything is close by and the logistics are easy enough to manage.
