Patel Industries

Our shop, Patel Industries, is located at Plot No. 5623/c in Phase-2 of the GIDC. This part of the estate is usually quite packed with activity every day. Finding our plot isn't too hard if you follow the main lane in Phase-2, though the numbering can sometimes skip around a bit and confuse people. It’s a functional space. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the outside looks; we’re more concerned with what’s happening inside the workshop. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or scraps from the day's work. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The neighbors are mostly other small plants and workshops, so there is always a background hum of engines and tools. It’s a noisy environment but you get used to it after the first week of working here. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we’ve become a bit of a tight-knit group over the years. We keep the doors open for ventilation mostly, especially when it gets stuffy. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and quiet hallways. It’s just a place where work gets done. If you ever need to find us, just look for the 5623/c sign. It’s painted on the wall near the gate. We’re there almost every day, just working through the usual tasks until the light fades.
