Our workshop is at Shed No. 16, right across from the Panchratna Industrial Estate in Vatva Gidc. Specifically, we are in the Gangotri Industrial Estate section. If you are looking for us, we are near the Ramol Police Chowki. Having the police station so close makes the area feel a bit more settled. We work on crane components here. It’s heavy work and the shed is always full of iron and steel parts. The sounds of metal hitting metal are pretty much the soundtrack to our day. Vatva is a huge industrial zone, so there is always a layer of dust on everything, and you have to wash your hands a dozen times a day. We have a small office space tucked in the back, but mostly we are out on the floor. The guys here have a lot of experience with heavy lifting and mechanical stuff. We don’t have much time for small talk or polishing things up for show. We just make sure the parts are right and the shipments are loaded onto the trucks correctly. Sometimes the traffic near the overbridge is a nightmare and makes the deliveries late, which is frustrating. But we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a busy life here in the Gidc, and we are just one of many shops trying to get the job done right. We just keep our heads down and get the components finished.
