Laxmi En Fab

Laxmi En Fab is located at Plot No. 25+26/25 in Phase-1 of the Gidc. It’s a fabrication shop, so there’s always the sound of grinding metal or the bright flash of a welder going on somewhere. We have a fair amount of space across the combined plots, which is good because the iron and steel we work with take up a lot of room. The ground is usually black from the soot and the metal dust, and the air smells like burnt ozone and grease. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to walk right into the shop and find someone who isn't wearing a welding mask. We’ve been doing this for a long time in Phase-1. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the Gidc who need frames built or parts repaired. It’s heavy, dirty work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty worn out. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything like that. We just look at the drawings people bring in and tell them if we can do it or not. Sometimes we're backed up for weeks, and other times we're looking for things to do. The weather in the Gidc can be brutal, but we just keep the fans blowing and get through the shift. It’s just a standard fabrication shop run by people who know how to handle a torch and a grinder.
