Chirag Copper Industries

Chirag Copper Industries is tucked away in the Nilson Compound, right across from Madhu Industries in Vatva. Being in Phase - I of the G.I.D.C. means things are always moving fast around here. Copper is what we deal with every single day. It’s heavy, it’s bright, and it’s a lot of work to move around. The compound stays pretty crowded with trucks and people loading up materials. Our space at Plot No. 25 26/5 is usually filled with rolls of wire or sheets of metal waiting to be processed. The air always has that slightly metallic smell that sticks to your clothes and won't come out. We’ve been in Vatva for a good while, so we’re used to the noise and the constant activity of the neighbors. It isn't the cleanest job in the world, and your hands are usually stained by the end of the shift, but it’s honest work. We spend a lot of time checking the copper because if it isn't right, the whole batch is a waste of money and time. The machinery we use is old but reliable, though it needs a lot of grease and looking after. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It's just us in the shop, getting the orders ready and making sure they get loaded onto the right truck. Vatva is a tough place to work sometimes because of the dust, but we’ve made a good home for the business here.
