Our place is at 627 in Phase-IV of the GIDC Estate in Vatva. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise and trucks moving around. Ami Pigments is all about colors, so you might find some stray powder on our shoes or the floors. It’s a dusty environment, but that’s just how it is when you work with pigments. We have big vats and mixing equipment that take up most of the floor space. The sun beats down on the corrugated roof in the summer, making it pretty warm inside. We don't have a fancy lobby with chairs for guests. Usually, if someone comes to see us, we just talk to them near the loading dock. We spend a lot of time checking the shades against the samples to make sure they match. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving bags and barrels from one side to the other. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we handle the paperwork, but most of the action happens out on the floor. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just show up every morning, mix the colors, and get the orders ready for the trucks. It’s a messy job sometimes, but someone has to do it, and we’ve been doing it here in Vatva for a long time.
