Amber Hydrometers

We are over at J-1, 5/11 in Phase 1 of the G.I.D.C in Vatva. It’s a typical industrial spot with lots of small units and workshops squeezed together. At Amber Hydrometers, we spend our days dealing with glass tubes and liquid measurements. It’s a bit of a niche thing, but someone has to do it. The workshop has that specific smell of an industrial zone, a mix of chemicals and old machinery. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a small team working in a plot in Vatva. Most of the time, you’ll find us hunched over benches, making sure the scales are marked correctly. It’s easy to get a bit of glass dust on your sleeves if you aren't careful. We’ve been in this G.I.D.C area for a while now, so we know the local chai wallahs and the other workers on the street. The work requires a steady hand and a bit of patience. It’s not the kind of job you can rush through if you want the hydrometers to actually work for the people using them. We don't have any flashy signs or a big lobby. You just walk in and see the crates and the testing jars. It’s a practical environment. We mostly just keep to our routine, calibrating the instruments and getting them boxed up for delivery. It’s quiet work, mostly, except for the noise from the neighbors' factories.
