We’ve been here at Vatva for a good while now. Our place is in Phase IV of the GIDC, right at 2406. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always noise and people moving things around. We make stuff related to heating and air, mostly for other businesses that need it. It’s not fancy work, but it’s what we do every day. The workshop gets hot, especially during the summer months, but the guys are used to it by now. We started small and just kept at it. Some of the machines we use have been with us for years. You know how it is, you fix them when they break and keep going. People know where to find us if they need something specific built or fixed. We don’t really do big ads or anything. Most folks just hear about us from someone else in the estate. We spend a lot of time checking parts and making sure things fit right. Sometimes the shipments are late or the power goes out, but that’s just part of working in Vatva. We try to keep things simple here. There’s a lot of dust and grease, but that’s how a real workshop looks. If you walk past our unit, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal hitting metal or someone shouting over a machine. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. We’re just regular people trying to do a decent job with the tools we have.
