Angle Tools is down in Rabaricolony, right on Vastral Road in the Amaraiwadi area. It’s a part of town that’s always moving, with a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. We’ve got the shop right where people can see it, though the signs are a bit faded from the sun. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and boxes filled with whatever we’re working on at the moment. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's burning hot outside. We don’t have air conditioning, just a few big fans that move the air around. Most of our day is spent helping people who drop in or fixing things that got messed up. Amaraiwadi is a tough neighborhood but the people are straightforward. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. By mid-afternoon, the road outside is packed with bikes and carts, so it gets pretty loud. We’ve got a small back room where we keep the heavy stuff and a little stove for making tea. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s a working shop, so a bit of dirt is expected. We just do the work, chat with the regulars, and shut the shutters when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life running a tool place on Vastral Road.
