The plant is located on N. H. 8, near the Sarkhej Bavla Highway. It’s a big industrial building out in the Post Charwadi Vasna area. You can tell you’re close to the village because of the fields around us. Inside the gates at Block No. 106, things are always a bit noisy. We have the machines that take the raw seeds and extract the oil through the solvent process. It’s a heavy job and the air always has that thick, nutty smell of processed seeds. The floors are concrete and have some stains from years of work. We’ve got a crew that’s been with us for a long time, mostly guys from the nearby villages. Our office is just a small room at the front with a few old chairs and a lot of logbooks. We don't really do the corporate thing with meetings and presentations. We just focus on the machines and the output. During the harvest season, the trucks line up outside the gate and things get very hectic. We work long shifts then to keep up with the flow. It’s an old-school factory life where you get your hands dirty and you know exactly how every piece of equipment sounds when it’s running right. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day.
